UNNS JUBILEUMSFILM ANNO 2021 (short doc, commissioned)
We rarely do commissioned short docs. But Carl wanted to do this, due to his experience from working in that very hospital as a doctor, but mostly to honor those pioneers who - against most odds - helped build a world class hospital "above the wall" in the far north. Carl scored the doc himself, and played around for a while before he found the "basal tone" that helped him carve out a subtle yet efficient tone that would help drive the story and add both uplifting, nostalgic and even comic nuances to it. The core element was string quartet samples, (both his own collected samples with a little Kontakt added..), with a little help of some added glockenspiel and ambient guitars.
