KAMIKAZE A GO GO

Post-hardcore/alt. rock band from Tromsø. Founded by Carl Christian Lein Størmer and Morten Rydland Høyning at the tail end of Turdus Musicus' twelve year stretch. Joined by guitarist Lars Dalheim (The Box of Mothers) and bassist Terje Arntsen (Betablok) they recorded their debut s/t 10'' with produced Ariel Joshua, and caused quite a stir in the Norwegian underground with the release accompanied by frenetic music video for the track Instigate to resuscitate. In 2011 Morten and Carl headed to Blasting Room Studios to mix their Ariel Joshua produced debut LP 'Creatures of Habit' with Jason Livermore (Propagandhi, Rise Against, Descendents). The album release was postponed, mostly due to Carl's engagement with his directorial debut THERE'S ALWAYS NEXT SEASON. In august 2014, Morten tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident. The album was released posthumously. 
The band has re-united twice, for Morten's memorial event and a fundraiser for Rumblin' Retards bassist Magnus Sandnes MS-treatment, with Jonas Thire (Wolves Like Us, Amulet, JR Ewing) stepping in for Morten.
