UNNS JUBILEUMSFILM ANNO 2021

I rarely take on bigger commissioned docu works. It just takes away from the much needed focus of doing my own projects. However, when the local hospital got in touch and wanted to make a film marking the anniversary of the hospital I was intrigued. To tell a story about how pioneers (like my dad) helped pave the way and - against most or all odds - create a world class medical service in the far, far north. All in all I think it came out pretty nicely. Much thanks to the wonderful casting of Arthur Revhaug, one of the true legends of the Northern Norwegian medical field. Arthur's story sort of became - in my mind - a reflection of everything that's great about the becoming of this crucially important institution for life "above the wall". Shot in Tromsø, Narvik and Svalbard in the fall of 2021.
